I’m passionate about being an authentic therapist who incorporates my personal and professional values into working with my clients. I am caring, honest, and am genuinely motivated to help you reach your goals. And I welcome the opportunity to work together with you.
I am licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Texas. I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas at Dallas before entering the workforce as a pharmaceutical sales representative and then as a physician recruiter.
After personally and professionally witnessing how healthy marriages and high functioning partners can positively impact society I was certain I could use my talents to help those who were hurting and make a difference in my community. So, I enrolled in graduate school at Texas Woman’s University to refine my clinical skills towards making the world a better place; one individual, one couple, one family at a time.
I earned my Masters in Family Therapy at TWU and my internship training was at the Beaver’s Family Studies Center at UT Southwestern in Dallas. It was on this journey where I really saw how profoundly lives can be changed when you accept responsibility for creating the life you want.
I am an active member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), the Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (TAMFT), and the Dallas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (DAMFT) where I served as Secretary on the Board of DAMFT for three years.
One of the things I like to do for fun and personal growth is compete in obstacle course races. I have competed in multiple Spartan Sprint events across Texas. One of my upcoming goals is to complete both a Super Sprint and Beast event (12-14 miles and 30-35 obstacles) as I work towards achieving a Spartan TRIFECTA! I am also currently working with a swim coach so I can compete in my first triathlon.
My husband, myself, and our four-legged family live in Plano, Texas.
